Into the stormy hills

The weather looked decidedly dodgy today so a leisurely breakfast and a late start seemed like a good idea. I managed to stay dry for a couple of hours but the storms found me eventually.

I was a complete drowned, mucky rat arriving at the hotel in Roussillon.
The Garmin did a good job directing me along some beautiful roads but seemed to have a wobbly moment attempting to avoid a busy road, it was an interesting diversion..

Quite a bit more climbing today, a taste of things to come

After a hot shower, I was obviously ready for a beer and food. Roussillon is a beautiful town perched on top of ochre cliffs which must look lovely in the sunshine. Not quite as gorgeous in the pouring rain but chicken, chips and ice cream works for me!

Evening walkies were drier and very beautiful

This is our hotel...
